Stokes Croft is a short section of the A38 near the city centre, and the name is used locally to refer to the whole stretch of road between The Bearpit and The Arches.

The Arches is the name used locally to refer to the railway bridge that crosses Gloucester Road close to it’s junction with Cotham Brow.
